Chris Yates did a MeetUp presentation in Dallas TX on January 10th and I would like to share the notes I took because he is a real genius. Chris Yates worked for Fox News for 20 years, is the winner of 4 Emmy awards, and is the owner of Huddle Productions. A really big point that Chris made is that today there is a level playing field between big corporations, and small “mom and pop” businesses. - Video SEO is 53 times more likely to rank on the first page over text.
- 1 minute of video is the equivalent of 1.8 million words.
- Video is 3 to 5 times more likely to be shared than text.
He shared with us the story about how he did a commercial for Michael’s store about scrap booking and framing and got 45,000 views the week of Christmas,
He was giving the right info, at the right time and people were searching for it, and that is KEY!

Business Profile – Don’t just talk about your business, also share things like : Culture, People, Beliefs, Community involvement, etc.

Testimonials – Show real customers, not staged or scripted scenes.
Fun & Creative – Make people laugh and they will share it, but he said you really need to be careful with this one because it can also be a big failure.
